Leighton Motorsports Wraps Season

The Leighton Motorsports team wrapped up the 2009/2010 ISOC AMSOIL Championship Snocross Series season at Lake Geneva, WI this weekend. Semi-Pro driver Colby Crapo secured final points finishes of 4th and 7th in his two classes while Trevor Leighton finished the season 3rd in the final Junior 16/17 standings and 13th in the Sport Super Stock class.

   

Leighton Team Set for Big Weekend in Lake Geneva

The Eagle, Idaho based Leighton Motorsports team is set for the final round of the ISOC AMSOIL Championship Snocross Series this weekend in Lake Geneva, WI. The team has been on a role scoring four straight podium finishes in the last for events including a thrilling victory by Colby Crapo in the last event.

Crapo Has Great Weekend at Hayward Nationals

Colby Crapo of St. Anthony, Idaho has competed in the shadow of his namesake for the past couple of season but Saturday night he emerged from the shadows to claim his first ISOC AMSOIL Championship Snocross Series national victory in front of a capacity crowd at the Hayward (WI) 300 Nationals. The win was also the first for Leighton Motorsports based in Eagle, Idaho and is the only team from the western United States to compete on the national tour.

Hayward 300 Updates

FINAL Update Saturday, March 6 8:00pm CT- Colby Crapo capped a great day for Leighton Motorsports scoring his first ISOC AMSOIL Championship Snocross Series main event  victory in the Semi-Pro Super Stock #1 class. Colby had to work his way through the field after contact at the start shuffled him back to the fifth position. By lap three he was up to fourth and over the next three laps he picked up a position a lap and battled Kyle Pallin for the lead and took the top spot by halfway. Colby never looked back and picked up the win. The victory was also the first national win for team owner Trace Leighton in his second full season on the tour.
