Team Owners
Trace and Wendy Leighton have been happily married for 23 years and were blessed with two awesome children, Timi and Trevor. They are the owners of a Commercial Construction Company based in the Boise, Idaho area that specializes in wood framing projects.
Trace has always been involved with sports, coaching football and baseball for over 15 years. In his early 20’s he was also partners in a River Racer Jet Boat team which won the U.S. Championship in 1988.
Trace and Wendy have been mountain snowmobile riders for years and introduced their kids to it at a very early age. In 2006 their son, Trevor, returned the favor by introducing them to the sport of Snocross. Trevor had been bugging them for years to let him race but, they didn’t want to give up their family time of riding. They finally agreed to let Trevor race every other race of the MWR Circuit. After the first weekend of racing, both Trace and Wendy’s competitive side kicked in and the Leighton’s have not missed a race weekend since.
After the 2007/2008 season, Trace decided to start his own race team. He had seen some very good racers who with a little bit of support would end up being top contenders. With that in mind and also the idea to form a race team that was based on “keeping it fun”, the Leighton’s jumped in head first. They are committed to their team representing, themselves, the sport of Snocross and their Sponsors in a very professional way.
